  • Send me a message through the Contact page of this website to set up a free 15-minute initial phone consultation.

If it seems like we’d be a good fit to work together, we’ll schedule an intake session and you’ll be sent some forms to fill out before the first session.

  • A therapy session takes place in a relaxed office environment (or in your own home if doing teletherapy) where I will listen, ask questions, and help you discover insights and understanding.

At the beginning of our relationship, we will discuss your goals and identify a path to reach them.

Therapy sessions are typically weekly and 50-55 minutes in length. Most clients prefer to come at the same day and time each week. The duration of therapy can be short-term (focusing on a specific problem) or long-term (focusing on more complex issues or ongoing personal growth).

Effective therapy involves active participation during and between the weekly sessions.

  • Yes. I offer telehealth sessions as well as in-person sessions.

  • I offer a free 15-minute initial phone consultation.

For private pay, fees are $150 for an individual session.

If you plan to use your health insurance, you may have a copay or you may need to pay out of pocket until you reach your deductible. Your insurance provider will be able to give you more information on what you can expect to pay.

  • I offer a sliding scale fee for a limited number of clients. If this sounds like you, ask about the fees during your 15-minute free initial consultation.

  • I accept cash, check, debit/credit card, Venmo, and HSA cards.

Payment is due at each session. There is also an option to enroll in automatic payment by keeping a credit card on file.

A note on commercial insurances: If your insurance is not listed above, you can see if your insurance covers out-of-network providers. If so, I am happy to offer you a superbill (invoices with session dates and rates) for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. To see if your eligible to work with out-of-network providers, you’ll need to contact your insurance company.

There are many benefits to out-of-pocket therapy services:

There is no need for a diagnosis. We can address your problems without labeling you.

Insurance companies often set a limit on the number of sessions per month/year. With private pay, the decisions regarding the focus, frequency, and duration of therapy are made by you and me.

We can continue therapy even if you change jobs or insurance providers. Many clients choose to return to therapy at different phases in life. Choosing a provider on fit, rather than insurance, gives you more options.

Thinking about therapy and don’t know where to begin?

I’d love to hear from you. Reach out when you’re ready to schedule a free phone consultation. The purpose of a consultation is for me to learn about what you’re going through, answer any questions you may have, and to see if we’d be a good fit in working together.
