Food & Body Issues

Food and body issues can look different for everyone, but oftentimes they entail a preoccupation or obsession with food and/or the way your body looks. You might be struggling with:

  • Negative Thoughts about Food

  • Disordered Eating

  • Emotional Eating

  • Chronic Dieting

  • Negative Body Image

  • Low Self-Esteem

  • Perfectionism

  • Depression and Anxiety

Food and body issues can take over and control all aspects of your life. They may fuel feelings of shame, loneliness, exhaustion, anxiety, and depression. They can interfere with your relationships, prevent you from opportunities, or steal away moments of joy in your life.

If you’re feeling stuck or trapped with food, eating, or body image struggles and ready to make peace with food and/or your body, I can help.

My Experience

I have been working with eating disorders, disordered eating, food issues, and body image issues since 2017 in a variety of settings, including inpatient and residential treatment centers, private practice, and group settings. I use evidence-based treatments and my unbiased, warm, and empathetic approach creates a safe place for clients to seek treatment where they feel seen, heard, and valued. Sometimes, clients struggling with these issues may need more than just a therapist. I have extensive experience collaborating with dietitians, psychiatrists, and medical doctors and can help assemble a team of professionals to support you as you navigate your journey of recovery.

"If we share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive."

-Brené Brown
